by Madison N Nunes

We know the weather is still cold where most of you are – unless you’re that one lucky reader hailing from Perfect Temperature, U.S.A. However, we’ve already got our minds wandering to the warmer months.

In the recent weeks Junkies has released new information about some head-banging, booty shaking music festivals we think you’re going to want to hear about:

Shaky Knees Music Fest: Atlanta, Georgia

Taking place May 8-10, Shaky Knees will be rocking Atlanta’s Central Park. With headliners such as Neutral Milk Hotel, The Kooks, Interpol, and Tv On the Radio the festival babes will be gathering by the hundreds, guaranteed. Other bands that will be playing the three-day festival include the lady-centric Best Coast,Zella Day,Heartless Bastards,Speedy Oritz, and The Both. You can buy your tickets here. And trust us, you will want to buy your tickets. Plus, Atlanta is home to Little 5 Points, Farm Burger’s amazing quinoa burger, and really good local drafts.

P.s. Also, come to hang out with us! We will be covering the event and doing a round-up at the end of the fest to share all the fabulously feminine highlights.

Hangout Festival 2015: Gulf Shores, Alabama

We can vouch that Gulf Shores is a pretty chill area to spend a weekend, but now you can hit it up on your way back from Shaky Knees. Happening on the 15-17 of May, Hangout will be hosting such lady-like bands as Paramore, Jenny Lewis, Zella Day, San Fermin, and Phantogram. On top of that you’ll be able to catch some waves and listen to Father John Misty woo you with his swayin’ hips. Grab your suitcases, bathing suits, and your tickets

The Governors Ball: Randalls Island, NYC, NY

Where will you be June 5-7? We can tell you where you’re going to want to be! The Governors Ball, which takes place in the fantastic (BUST home of ) NYC, will be giving to you Florence and the Machine,  Björk, St. Vincent, Little Dragon, Marina and the Diamonds, and Sharon Van Etten.
