ATTENTION all Stranger Things fans: This morning, Netflix announced that the show has officially been renewed for season 2 — not exactly surprising, but very exciting nonetheless!!!

We have no idea what most of these flashwords mean, but it sounds like there’s already a plot plotted out. We just need to be reassured that Eleven will be returning, Eggos in hand.
According to Variety, season two will be released sometime in 2017 and will consist of nine episodes — one more than season one. The Duffer Brothers will return as writers and executive producers. No casting has been confirmed yet.
The Duffer Brothers previously teased season two in an interview with Variety, saying, “We have all this stuff that we just didn’t have time for, or we didn’t feel like we needed to get into in season one, because of the main tension of Will. We have that whole other world that we haven’t fully explored in this season, and that was very purposeful.”
We can’t wait for season two!
