On February 9th, Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls is having its Annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Auction, held at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY.  The event is hosted by Mr. Murray Hill and features performances by Kaki King, Saffire, and special surprise guests!  For only $25 you get a ticket, bidding paddle, drink specials and a night of fun.  VIP tickets are $75 and include a special pre-auction VIP reception with Kathleen Hanna, Kaki King and other Host Committee members, complimentary cocktails courtesy of Tito’s Homemade Vodka, hors d’oeuvres, gift bags, and mini drum lessons.
Some of the items up for auction include guitars signed by Sheryl Crow, Roseanne Cash, Amy Kay and Kaia Wilson, and a microphone signed by Tori Amos!
There will also be special items for auction from Brooklyn Brewery, New York School of Burlesque, NYC Food Film Festival, Gotham Girls Roller Derby, Pimps & Pinups Salon, plus jewelry, kid stuff, autographed CD’s, gift certificates and more. Proceeds benefit Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, a non-profit music and mentoring program for girls and women in New York City. Doors open at 8pm.  VIP reception at 7pm.
