SISU, Lizzo, and U.S. Girls to Rock BUST-Curated Night of Music!

by Maggie Carr

We’re excited to announce that we’re curating yet another night of lady-powered music at Brooklyn Night Bazaar!

Last December, we brought JD Samson’s dance-rock outfit MEN to Brooklyn Night Bazaar’s enormous warehouse space in Williamsburg. This year, come on by the Bazaar’s new, slightly more intimate space in Greenpoint for a night of food, drink, shopping, table tennis, mini golf, and of course, a bomb-ass free show featuring SISU, Lizzo, U.S. Girls, and DJ Sheila B.

We’re pumped to bring all of these lady-fronted acts together in one room, and we hope you’ll join us on Friday, December 20th! Doors open at 6pm at the Bazaar’s new space at 165 Banker Street in Brooklyn, and the music goes until midnight. Admission is free for all ages.

Read on for more info on the lineup, as well as the songs we can’t stop playing at BUST HQ!

SISU, led by Dum Dum Girls drummer Sandy Vu, packs a powerful punch of discordant-but-insanely-catchy shoegaze. Keep an eye out for Dum Dums guitarist Jules Medeiros, who plays with SISU in their live shows!

Check out their single “Harpoons”:

We can’t stop playing Minneapolis-based rapper Lizzo‘s single “Batches and Cookies.” Keep an eye out for this lady.

Meghan Remy mixes trip-hop, glam rock, and ’60s nostalgia into deliciously strange tunes as U.S. Girls

Not gonna lie, I’ve had “28 Days” stuck in my head for…28 days. Get ready to do the same:

DJ Sheila B., a former BUST staffer and all-around-awesome lady, will be digging deep into her enviable vinyl collection and spinning from 6 PM and in between sets.
