I am always on the hunt for vintage specs, and recently had to replace my beloved frames because I stupidly dropped them. So the hunt was on, and I searched the city for months for the perfect pair. I finally found a sweet pair of vintage YSLs that are very early 80’s Sophia Loren, and I found them at Siver Lining Opticians in Soho. The guys running this cute eyewear shop, Jordan Silver and Erik Sacher are friendly as can be, very knowledgeable and patient with the slow decider. For me, getting new glasses is a big deal, kind of like plastic surgery on the face! Well, maybe not that serious. In any case, these guys have a great selection of new independent designers and a lot of rare vintage designer eyewear. Prices are not cheap, but quality is tops, and I figure I’m going to get a lot of wear out of them. Plus, a girls gotta splurge once in awhile!
