I saw the new Monsters v. Aliens this weekend and thought it was pretty amazing. Not just for kids, I swear! And it’s in 3D.
Is it just me, or does Gallaxhar (from Monsters vs. Aliens) remind you of Mojo Jo Jo (Powerpuff Girls)? I’ve always loved outrageously sinister villians, and they did a fun job with the squid like Gallaxhar. Even tho he is a squid, he has a monkey face, just like MJJ, and an extremely large brain.
I actually loved all the characters, the main girl whio accidentally gets turned into a giant, is played by Reese Witherspoon, and her plucky attitude makes this one of those girl power movies that are all the rage with the kids. Seth Rogan as BOB the idiot blue blob is hilarious, and I’m pretty sure the voice of the computer was done by Amy Poehler.
M vs. A a fun diversion for keeping your mind off the rather depressing news these days. I promise you will laugh out loud, and who doesn’t need that right now?
