Save the Date: Singer/Songwriter Conference in Midtown Manhattan Sunday February 10th

Singer/songwriters don’t just sing and write songs anymore. They also build and run their own musical empires, often times single-handedly!

Conceived by badass singer/songwriter chicks like Casey Dinkin (www.CaseyDinkin.com), Audrey Joy (www.AJLMusic.org) and Sarah Elizabeth Foster (www.SarahElizabethFoster.com), The Singer/Songwriter Conference is an afternoon event in midtown Manhattan for singer/songwriters by singer/songwriters. Their Mission: To bring singer/songwriters together for an afternoon of sharing successful strategies and building new relationships.

The event will be hosted by Youthquake Studios and sponsored by the innovative website platform, www.squarespace.com.

Panelists:

Sarah Elizabeth Foster  — 1960s-loving r&b/soul singer/songwriter. Sarah Elizabeth Foster started her own record label and music publishing companies in 2008. Her single “Go Home Alone” was featured on Bust Radio! (www.SarahElizabethFoster.com)

Alyson Greenfield  —  Experimental Singer/Songwriter whose “satiating and seductive songs” (LA Examiner) cross the genres of folk, electro, and hip-hop.  Greenfield is the founder of the Tinderbox Music Festival, an annual event showcasing emerging female musicians and giving back to NYC non-profits empowering young women through the arts. Eleanor Dubinsky — Singing in English, French, and Spanish, world music artist Eleanor Dubinsky “soothes and inspires” with music that is “all about connection and empowerment” (Glamour Magazine).  Voted Best Up and Coming Francophone Singer in NYC by French Culture Guides, her songs have been featured on MTV, Lifetime, Animal Planet, ads for American Express and NPR. Dave Hedin — Dave Hedin makes music that can be described as indie/synth/pop all from his fully-equipped home studio in New York. Hedin also founded the label Metrolight Music in 2009 under which he composes music for various ad spots, jingles, and brand identities for such companies as Sony Music, Columbia Records, Epic Records, Regal Theatres, Cinemark Theatres, AMC Theatres, and others.
