I love drag. I always have; when I was about five years old I apparently watched the classic drag movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert so often that the tape of the VHS wore out. Now, 16 years later, I watch just about everything online, so there’s no problem if I want to watch the same thing over and over, like I’ve done with the first season of “Rupaul’s Drag U.”
But soon there will be a new batch of women for Rupaul and his drag queen faculty to transform! I know I’ll be watching these new women gain confidence and sass and “rediscover their inner diva” with the help of the Dragulator. (Seriously, click on that–it’s fun!)
There will even be new drag faculty, new guest choreographers, and more celebrity guest judges, like Molly Ringwald, Carnie Wilson, and Beverly Johnson. And for the season finale, watch your favorite 80s icons Stacy Q, Downtown Julie Brown, and Jane Wiedlin learn from “the empowering art of drag!”
For those who haven’t had the pleasure of watching “Rupaul’s Drag U” before, you can watch the entire first season here, or just jump right into the second season on Monday June 20th at 9/8c on Logo.
