President Obama Updates His Resume With Stephen Colbert

by Kelly Walters

President Obama is soon to be out of a job, no matter how much we want him to stay. So, like any good future employee who’s entering the job market, Obama spent some time updating his resume on The Late Show on Monday, with the help of Randy the office manager (AKA master of disguise Stephen Colbert wearing a fake mustache).

“Fifty-five, tough time to start over for a man,” Randy said, before giving Obama tips on how to appeal to employers. Previous resume points like, “Brokering international deals” became, “Efficient in Microsoft Excel,” and saving the auto-industry was re-worded to say, “Drives stick.”

The President also used the interview as time to urge young people to vote.

“This is the most important election of their lifetimes,” Obama said. “They have the chance to make history; and the results in November could change their lives forever, so they have to get out there and vote.”

Unforunately, Randy could not ask Obama what candidate he endorsed, but he did have time to ask what snack Obama would prefer, an “Extra-fiber nutrient bar, which has traveled to more than 100 countries, or a shriveled tangerine, covered in golden retriever hair, filled with bile, that I wouldn’t leave alone with the woman I love.”

“I think I’ll go with the fiber nutrient bar,” Obama answered.
