Poetic People Power’s New Show “Price Check” in NYC

Like your poetry with a shot of politics? BUST writer Tara Bracco will be reading her poetry at Poetic People Power’s annual show. This year, it’s called “Price Check,” and will feature poems about the economics, psychology, and costs of our consumerism culture. Other poets reading include Erica R. DeLaRosa, Andy Emeritz, Nate Gunsch, Angela Kariotis, Frantz Jerome, Shetal Shah, and Justin Woo. Seating is limited so please RSVP by emailing [email protected].

Poetic People Power combines poetry and activism. The group presents informative and engaging poetry shows about important issues that affect the lives of everyday people. Each year, their annual show explores a new political or social topic. Poetic People Power also brings their spoken word shows to schools, festivals, and non-profits.
