Looks like Orange Is the New…back. (Sorry.)
Despite the onslaught of other binge-able TV shows in the interim months (True Detective, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, etc.) the absense of Jenji Kohan’s sleeper hit Netflix series has been felt. Much has already been written about how thrilling it is to see an unflinching depiction of women – almost exclusively women – moving through the annals of prison. So many former taboos in a single show! In Piper and Alex, we’ve discovered one of television’s most complex “will they or won’t theys.” In prison, we’ve met scores of women who don’t fit the normcore profile of a television super-star. I also just really want to know how things ended up for old Pennsatucky.
But we don’t have to wait much longer, ladies. Today a preview for season two hit the web running:
