NYC (& CMJ) Street Style

by Kristina Uriegas-Reyes

I didn’t make it to as many CMJ shows as I would’ve liked, but I was able to catch the lovely singer Emmy the Great, who I’ve wanted to see for a while now, and Wild Moccasins, a Texas pop band I’ve missed seeing since moving from Texas to NYC. The two pictures above and below are  Emmy the Great, who I was happy brought some glitter and sparkle to a daytime show. It’s never too early in my book. I was also totally digging her patterned tights. Few people could make those prints go together so perfectly in color and pattern. Along with these two fabulous lady singers are a few other “style around town” photos from The Rebel Waltz. From The Village to Williamsburg, style is everywhere in NYC!

I’ve always had such a girl crush on the Wild Moccasins singer. She always looks so cool on stage and not many ladies can pull off purple tips and leopard shorts.

I met this friendly bow-ties clad dude at one of my favorite flea markets in NYC, Mary Help of Christian’s Church Flea Market.
