Not Just For Kids: Todd Oldham and Target Team Up for New Crafty Collab

by Intern Kelsie

Target’s newest collaboration has us itching to raid the kid’s section. Aptly titled Kid Made Modern, the collection is a real departure for Target’s designer partnerships. Kid Made Modern is the brainchild of Todd Oldham, friend of and sometime photographer for BUST, and it’s a collection of art supplies and craft kits that are intended for youngins but are cool enough for the post-pubescent, too.

Kid Made Modern offers supplies for artists in a variety of media: felt, duct tape, paint sets, glitter glue, crazy crayons and more. The crazy crayons in particular piqued my curiosity; one of the crazy crayons has 64 colors in one 10-inch long mega-crayon. I picture myself signing autographs with it, though I’m not famous and I’ve never once been asked for an autograph. I think I’ll drop the $3.99 just in case.

Other standouts from the collection include a space stone jewelry kit, a sew-it-yourself elephant cushion, and a comic book making kit that includes markers, stamps, stencils, and a comic book to fill with your own girl power adventures. These kits seem like the perfect introduction to crafts you may never have tried before, no matter your age. And at prices ranging from $3.99 to $19.99, why not pick up a new hobby… or eight new hobbies while you’re at it?
