First it turns out Ellie from UP is a real person, and now so is Whoopi Goldberg’s character from Sister Act.
We all saw what happened when a frumpy lady was shockingly revealed to have skills not intrinsically related to her looks in 2009, when Susan Boyle took to the stage of Britain’s Got Talent. She wasn’t even wearing a habit and managed to draw tears from normally bloodthirsty judges.
The results are even more thrilling when the whole thing’s in Italian. On their version of The Voice, the judges in red chairs and audience alike are clearly expecting more Pavarotti from one especially devout contestant–but what she gives them is pure, albeit phonetic, Aguilera. Of course, she got a four-chair turnaround, and even more of course, she picked rapper J-Ax as her coach. The judges’ reactions to her God-given gifts are as hilarious and awesome as the pairing.
She probably tears through those Hail Marys, so maybe a rap career isn’t far off. Without further ado, here’s Sister Cristina Scuccia, singing Alicia Key’s hit single, “No One.”
