New Yorkers! Party with FOUND Magazine This Week!

by Kaitlin Cole

Author, This American Life contributor, and co-creator of FOUND Magazine Davy Rothbart is taking a 79-city tour in celebration of the mag’s tenth anniversary. The pages of FOUND are packed with stumbled-upon goodies, including letters, notes, and photos, that run the gamut from touching to absurd.

Davy will be sharing awesome new finds as well as a few stories from his new book of personal essays, My Heart is an Idiot.  He’s joined by his brother, FOUND editor and musician Peter Rothbart, who will perform beautiful and hilarious songs based on FOUND notes.

The tour will make two stops in New York. First up, on Wednesday the 19th, is Littlefield at 622 Degraw Street in Brooklyn. The show begins at 8:30 and doors open an hour prior–tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door.

FOUND will also stop by Upright Citizens Brigade’s UCBeast theater in the East Village–153 East 3rd Street (at Ave A) to be specific–at 7 PM. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved here.

Fun bonus: you can even bring your own found treasures to the event to share!
