Neko Case, Live and Free!

by Intern Tessa

Neko Case, the amazingly talented and soulful singer and songwriter, will be performing for FREE at the second annual Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival. Neko has developed a new sound all her own – a mix of country, gospel, torch, and pop. She has earned Grammy nominations and a huge fan base with her seven albums and EP. And now we get to enjoy her live for free! By the way, she is also featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack.

The festival is a two-day outdoor event taking place on July 11th and 12th at the World Financial Center in NYC from 6:30 to 9 PM, featuring Buddy Guy, Quinn Sullivan, John Mayall, Charles Bradley and the Extraordinaires, and He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister.  Neko’s performance will take place on July 12th.
