Neck Candy: Designer Cléo Férin at Craftacular London!

by Chloé Burrow

Cléo Férin makes pretty scarves and collars for cool girls who ‘wanna have fun’. Originally from Paris, she moved to London to study surface design and has gone on to work with the likes of the late Alexander McQueen, Amechi Ihenacho and even UK pop act, Sugababes!

The illustrations on her scarves are quirky and fun. Her ‘Icons’ collection, which will be on sale this Craftacular on November 27 in London, celebrates BUSTie ladies such as Cleopatra, Bridget Bardo, Beyonce, Wanda Jackson and Grace Jones, and have led her to collaborate with – you guessed it – Tatty Devine to create a scarf based one of their classic tiger necklace designs (pictured).

According to Anne Laure, keyboard player with Comet Gain and recent model for her Les Histoires D’Amour collection, Cléo’s unique style is drawn from many places. ‘She manages to combine eclectic influences from pop culture and beyond – from sixties girl groups to African prints and French novelists – to depict her own distinctive, innocent and poetic world… which make her designs appealing to a variety of people.’ By Alice Hubley.
