A mother-daughter dinner at a Brazilian restaurant provided the unexpected start of equal-parts-adorbs-and-kickass alternative pop duo Sleigh Bells. Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss met in 2008 at Miss Favela in Brooklyn, where Miller was working as a waiter, and their partnership has been sensational ever since.
Sleigh Bells will be releasing their second album Reign of Terror (Mom + Pop) on February 21. For a taste of what the Reign will be like, watch the video for the album’s first single, “Comeback Kid.” I think it’s totes amazing, and Alexis is a biker-glam vision in her signature studded leather jacket.
