She dishes on what it’s like behind the scenes, what “editing” really means, her career path up until now, and, of course, her favorite part of the job (which is basically..everything). One of the best parts is her advice to aspiring editors. When asked what they should know or learn, she says, “There’s no better way to learn it than to do it. The more you write the better you’ll write and being an excellent writer is the best foundation for being an editor. So just hit that keyboard till your fingers bleed.” As an aspiring editor myself, I shall definitely take her advice to heart.
