Our favorite teen blogger/superstar Tavi Gevinson is embarking on a national road trip to meet the readers of RookieMag.com, her excellent website for teen girls. Tavi and a few of the staff from Rookie will kick off the tour this Monday June 25th in Brooklyn. The girls will stop in 17 cities and wind up with a big event in LA at the end of July.
The events sound awesome, and will include readings and art shows. Supercute! will play on Monday, and others stops include, ice cream eating, crafting, vintage shopping, doughnuts, record shopping, performances and much more. Sounds rad, right? But clearly the draw for most girls will be meeting Tavi herself, the very accomplished writer who’s been featured in the New York Times as well as speaking at a TED conference. So if she’s coming to your town, be sure to stop by join the fun, and bring a teenager with you. If she doesn’t already love Rookie, then you’ll get to be the cool adult that turned her onto her new favorite thing.
