Maria Bamford’s Quirky New Webseries Rules! Just Ask Her Mom

by Melissa Coci

Does this butterface look familiar to you? You may recognize Maria Bamford from her role as DeBrie on Season Four of Arrested Development, or even from the pages of BUST itself – this girl is hilarious. Now we can get even more glorious Maria-face with her latest project, a web series called “Ask My Mom!

It features Bamford dressed up as her 70-year-old mom, answering her viewers’ pressing questions with “heartfelt, absurd, and liberal Christian advice.” New episodes are being released every Thursday.

The comedienne explains:

“My Mom is Marilyn Bamford, a 70-year-old retired family therapist and a Netflix connoisseur. She has years of wisdom to tackle any query, question or fact of life. But, she’s also one of the busiest senior citizens on the planet! We can only get her to answer questions while she’s getting something done.”

That means the vids are set anywhere from Marilyn’s garden to her mini-trampoline, while she does things like microwave baked potatoes and study the Bible for its “really violent parts.”

The result: HILARITY!
