Written and recorded in the spring of 2025, these nine tracks are both protest, prayer, and gritty dispatches from a world unraveling and the will to keep going. The title track champions the working class with weary grace, while her duet with Mavis Staples on Bob Marley’s “So Much Trouble in the World” is pure gospel fire. The closing hymn, “We’ve Come Too Far to Turn Around,” featuring Norah Jones, is achingly beautiful.
