Family can be a great source of love, comfort, and at times, a splitting migraine. In the right hands, they can also make great comedic material. Take actor and model Lauren LoGiudice. Rather then spend thousands on shrinks bitching about her relatives, she created Queen’s Girl, a one-woman multimedia show where LoGiudice channels her mother, sister, grandparents and other colorful characters in a hysterical and satirical tale about family dynamics, standing out from the crowd and learning what truly makes one a Queen’s’ girl!
Catch her show at the Stage Left Studio in NYC through the end of February. If you can’t make it, read all about Lauren LoGiudice in the April/May 2008 issue in the article about female drag queens.
