Brace yourself: Kristin Wiig graduated from SNL this weekend. We’re providing the video in case you missed it, and you provide yourself with some tissues. Go. Now. As we were forewarned, it appears she is moving on to either paint and eat bread in Paris, or be a nun. Since she doesn’t like to have goals, she is probably just leaving this open. But for us devoted fans, we just hope she continues to grace the boob tube and the silver screen with her fab, hilarious antics.
Wiig was congratulated by Mick Jagger and serenaded by Arcade Fire covering Rolling Stones songs. The kicker was when Wiig danced with her fellow cast members one by one. Not a bad ceremony. Even Amy Poehler, Jon Hamm, Chris Kattan, Steve Martin, and Chris Parnell joined in. Kristin is obviously well loved.
Some subtle hints on Saturday’s show alluded to the chance that Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis might also be leaving. We here at BUST wish them all the best of luck, and will keep our Bridesmaids DVDs close at hand to stave off any Wiig cravings until she moves onto bigger and better things.
