Kristen Wiig to Host SNL One Year After Her Departure

by Tess Duncan

SNL alum and BUST favorite, Kristen Wiig will be gracing us with her hilarious (stage) presence on May 11th to host Saturday Night Live a year after she left the show on May 19th, 2012. (You might remember her emotional send-off which commemorated the seven years she spent on the NBC sketch comedy series.) Now we’ll get to see her starring alongside former co-stars and keep our fingers crossed for some great guest spots (Tina? Amy? Rachel? Melissa McC? Just give us somethin’!).

While Wiig has commented on the difficulties of adjusting to a post-SNL lifestyle, she’s been keeping busy as always this past year. She acted as executive producer and leading lady of 2012’s Girl Most Likely and is currently working on six different films for 2013. For those of you not already tearing your hair out in anticipation of the Netflix stream of Arrested Development, brace yourself for a sure-to-be-LOL-filled guest appearance of Wiig as a young Lucille Bluth. I have so many feels.

For now, we can rest assured that this SNL episode will be on point. I know I speak for all of us, especially the SNL cast, when I say that we’ve missed you, Kristen!
