Last spring a screening of Handmade Nation made its way to Portland, OR, where I was living at the time. Because I was a little slow on the up-take, the screening at the Museum of Contemporary Craft sold the hell out and I was left a little bummed. Now how was I going to catch this documentary on the DIY craft movement that has made its way into every corner of America?!
Well well, just in time for the holidays is the release of Handmade Nation on DVD (yay!). For all of you crafty ladies (and gents) that missed a screening, were too far away from one, or absolutely loved it, you now have the chance to snatch it up. And hey, I’m not crafty myself but the chance to take a sneak peek into the lives of those that have created a living doing what they love is always inspiring to me (therefore, I am going to purchase one stat!) To do so, take a hop over to Buy Olympia for your copy.
