Jordan Maye has not only gone through a personal transition, but she has also transformed from a Berklee College of Music student to a professional musician with one of 2024’s most satisfying debut albums. Track one, “Deranged,” starts out as a piano ballad that ignites into a kick-ass theatrical rocker where Jordan asks, “Is it true that I’m deranged?” “Tuesday” and “Tarot” both take on a softer, more introspective, almost somber tone, highlighting the heartache conveyed in Jordan’s searing vocals. “Walking on Water” has an infectious, upbeat pop sound on which Jordan declares, “I’ll be okay. I am what I am. I am invincible!”
