A bunch of BUST editors and friends were asked to judge Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Clap and Dance-Off a few weekends ago, and we had SOOOOO much fun! Above is a pic of the winner, Elizabeth Arnold (aka #66) who’s moves were undeniable. The second runner up was also fantastic, but we didn’t catch his name because, frankly, judging is hard work and you need to drink the entire time, so by 2 am we were pretty wasted. Sorry #100!
Special guest DJs Jon Spencer (Pussy Galore) and Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog) kept the bodies moving.
Jonathan Toubin is one of our all time favorite DJs who spins rare 45s and travels around the world making people happy, and always with a smile on his face. He is truly a sweetheart, so the next time the Soul Clap comes to your town, you MUST GO! It is a guaranteed fun time, even if you are just watching, though we always encourage dancing.
