She interpolates Des’ree’s “You Gotta Be” on the play-it-cool love song “Tiny Garden” and turns NBA legend Allen Iverson’s infamous quote into a relationship mantra on the R&B chiller “Practice.” Psychedelic symphony “Bugs” urges us to move past inconsequential dating pet peeves, while the spare but dynamic spoken-word track “I Miss All My Exes” finds the silver lining in every breakup. Water Made Us is Woods’ love language; you’d be wise to listen.
