It’s Time For Victorian Classics To Strip Down

by Intern Ariana

Have you been reading your favorite classic and realized that something was just… missing. Everyone was too polite? Too restricted? There just wasn’t enough bondage in Victorian Era England, was there? Well, e-publisher Clandestine Classics is prepared to fix all of that for you. Thank God (or whoever your sexy BDSM partner is). On July 30th they will release 5 sexed up versions of your tightly laced favorites.

Clandestine Classics appreciates the classics but wants to spice them up- a lot. Here’s what they have to say on the website: “The old fashioned pleasantries and timidity have all been stripped away, quite literally. You didn’t really think that these much loved characters only held hands and pecked cheeks did you? Come with us, as we embark on a breathtaking experience—behind the closed bedroom doors of our favourite, most-beloved British characters.” They’re so British they even spelled “favourite” with a ‘u.’ But so raunchy that they’re tying up your literary favourites.

Which books are lucky enough to  get the 50 Shades of Grey treatment? Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice,  Sherlock Holmes: A Study In Scarlet (yes, there’s homo-erotica), Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, and Northanger Abbey will be cutting corset laces in no time.  All five are currently available for pre-order if you just can’t wait (or are worried you’ll forget).

Which other literary masterpieces do you think deserve a sexy rewrite?
