If you didn’t already know, Childish Gambino is the rapping alter-ego of Community star Donald Glover. His newest mixtape, Royalty, dropped yesterday, and it features RZA, Ghostface Killa, and Beck. But it’s the voice who ends Royalty that really has us BUST-ies excited.
The fabulous Tina Fey appears on the final track, “Real Estate,” spitting some sick rhymes. With her classically awkward style, Fey half-raps “We droppin’ racks at Nordstrom’s son, that’s racks on racks damn it, you feel me? You feel me? This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the N-word after it. Not going to! Not gonna do that!” Although the lyrics are perfection on paper, they’re even better in audio form, so go to Childish Gambino/Donald Glover’s website to download Royalty and hear Fey’s lyrical stylings.
Gambino starts his tour tomorrow in London. From there he’ll be touring the globe, making stops everywhere from North Carolina, to L.A., to Glasgow, to Paris. Will any of his audiences be lucky enough to see Fey making a guest appearance on stage? They can dream, can’t they?
