Is the Future Feminism Collective the Future of Feminism?

by Mariana Garces

The Future Feminism Collective is planning to unveil their “13 Tenets of Future Feminism” at The Hole Art Gallery as part of a series of various lectures, conferences and performances by several talented artists. The series will go from September 11-27, kicked off by a concert this Sunday, September 7th, at Webster Hall, starring CocoRosie, with guests Kembra Pfahler and the Girls of Karen Black, Antony (of Antony and the Johnsons) and DJ Johanna Constantine. CocoRosie and Antony have performed together for years and have always inspired each others work, so you know the show at Webster will be just the beginning of what this collective has to share and perform over the next few weeks.

The FF collective, which has collaborated to define their tenets over the past 3 years, is described as “a call to arms to reorganize ourselves as a species and affirm archetypally feminine values.”

Tickets for the Sunday night performance on sale HERE!

We’re especially excited for the 13 day series of talks and workshops that will be held at the Hole Gallery starting September 11th. The line up includes such art world legends as Marina Abramović, Kiki Smith, Laurie Anderson and Carolee Schneemann! This promises to be an incredible series so dont miss it!
