Get Inspired as MAKERS: Women In Comedy Airs Tomorrow

by Samantha Albala

Get ready, as AOL MAKERS’ Fall Documentary Series premieres tomorrow, Sept. 30, on PBS! MAKERS.com, if you haven’t already heard of them, is the largest collections of videos that share women’s stories. You can hear Oprah, Alicia Keys, Ellen DeGeneres, Zooey Deschanel, Hillary Clinton, and other women from countless industries inspire and free you from the weird self-conscious gifts (ugh) given by society.

While their website already has a very large database of groundbreaking women for you to pick through for hours and hours (trust me, you can get lost in there), this documentary series will be organized by category and displayed for you on television so you can have a fun viewing party with your friends.

The series will air every Tuesday for the following six weeks at 9 p.m. on PBS. There will also be a special broadcast of each film online the following night at 8 p.m. ET on the website. The first will be hosted by the wonderful Kathy Griffin!

Tomorrow’s show will be MAKERS: Women In Comedy, followed by documentaries on women in hollywood, space, war, business, and politics.

So find your favorite ladies to drool over and hear them bestow on you new knowledge about their lives and dreams every week. And while you wait to figure out which documentary is your favorite, hunt through a video or two for some beautiful biographical education.

And if you still can’t get enough, check out our past coverage of the 2013 MAKERS: Women Who Make America here, or in our Dolly Parton issue (June/July).
