The battle for women’s suffrage took place on the streets, in picket lines, in jail cells, chained to the railings of government buildings, and…in the mail? Social science blog The Society Pages has compiled archives of suffragist and anti-suffrage postcards from the early 1900s (at least these ones don’t suggest that women wear a muzzle!).
