What’s Your Summer 2020 Horoscope?

by BUST Magazine

From BUST‘s Spring 2020 issue, our new house astrologer, Emmalea Russo, gives astrological guidance to getting laid.

cancer detail 3ad59

Cancer
(June 21 to July 22)
Summer begins with a bang when the Sun enters your identity center on June 20, asking you to reevaluate your self-concept and shine bright. You’re up for it. The solar eclipse in your sign on June 21 delivers revelations. Maybe a new, bolder look? Jupiter and Pluto conjoin on June 30, which will help you sort shit out before Venus enters your sign on August 7, making you extra tantalizing.

leo detail 374d6

Leo
(July 23 to Aug. 22)
This summer boosts your dreaminess and, if you’re up for it, psychic abilities. With Mercury retrograding through your house of mysticism from June 18 to July 11, entry into the hidden spaces in your consciousness is on the table. On July 1, Saturn does some final sweeps in your self-care sector, and by the time the Sun enters your sign on July 22, you’ll be feeling refreshed and all new.

virgo detail 38f80

Virgo
(Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)
You get by with a little help from your friends from June 18 to July 11, when messenger god (and your ruling planet) Mercury asks you to look into which Virgo superpowers you’re sharing with your collective. Meanwhile, Mars’ entrance into your house of sex and death on June 27 highlights your kinkier side and sets the tone for a sex-positive summer with sides of dirty talk and drama.

libra detail 98d35

Libra
(Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)
It’s possible that there’s a tension between your public and private lives. But on June 21, when the solar eclipse brings exciting career opportunities, you’ll realize, “I’ve been training for this.” Expect some sultry distractions when Venus turns direct in Gemini on June 25, just in time for Mars’ ingress into your house of partnerships on June 27. The stage is set for a summer of love—or at least lust.

scorpio detail 4e9db

Scorpio
(Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)
Money’s on your mind, and you can expect more of it around the time of June 5’s full moon in your house of bling. A house party’s been raging in your mansion of communication all year, and on June 30, things come to a head (again) when Jupiter and Pluto conjoin, urging you to speak your truth and look directly at the darkness—which is kind of your forte, anyway.

sagittarius detail 16a50

Sagittarius
(Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)
Sweet Venus has been an excellent houseguest in your relationship sector this spring, bringing intriguing new romantic options (or extra sparks with your boo). Things culminate with a lunar eclipse in your sign on June 5, swinging the focus back to you and your curiosities. If you haven’t yet, you might try polyamory. By August 3’s new moon, you’re up to your old tricks. Translation: planning your next trip.

capricorn detail 444ce

Capricorn
(Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)
Catharsis and intensity are the words du jour as Jupiter and Pluto conjoin in your sign on June 30, urging you to part with whatever’s not working and take a deep dive into those massive “Who am I?” questions. The lunar eclipse in your sign on July 5 calls for conscious partying, and the new moon refreshes your relationships on July 20, delivering clarity around your romances this summer and beyond.

aquarius detail 160a4

Aquarius
(Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)
Your consciousness is shifting, which feels both freaky and divine. Jupiter and Pluto finally conjoin in your house of dreams and mysticism on June 30, offering relief and revelation regarding how you connect with the universe. On August 3, the full moon in your sign urges you to be your most unique self. You’ll be the visionary light we’re all looking towards—but what else is new?

pisces detail 8fffe

Pisces
(Feb. 19 to Mar. 20)
Dreamy Neptune turns retrograde on June 23, so watch out for escapist tendencies with a side of increased psychic insight. Then, the lunar eclipse in your house of friends on July 5 urges you to get off your meditation cushions and onto the dance floor. Venus ingresses into your house of creativity and partying on August 7, upping your libido, so bust out your sex toys and art supplies.

aries detail 755ea

Aries
(Mar. 21 to Apr. 19)
Neil Young said it’s better to burn out than fade away, and you get a hit of this pure vitality when your ruling planet, Mars, enters your sign on June 27. As far as work goes, the full moon on July 5 signals a culmination and extra recognition for your efforts. The new moon on August 18 harkens a new cycle of celebration and creative flow for the end of summer.

taurus detail b11dc

Taurus
(Apr. 20 to May 20)
Flirty vibes have reigned supreme since Venus, your ruling planet, brought her signature sweetness to your house of value and self-worth this spring. June 5’s lunar eclipse in your arena of travel and adventure has you itching to get out of the house. You might pour some of that energy into work, as August 3’s full moon has your career sector thriving—and has everyone else like, “Who’s that Taurus?”

gemini detail 4cee4

Gemini
(May 21 to June 20)
With June 18’s Mercury retrograde will come some confusion about how and when you’re getting paid. You’re not that worried about it, as Venus turns direct in your sign on June 25, supercharging your confidence. On August 7, she enters the house of money – smoothing out financial (and literal) wrinkles. You’re relieved when Mercury joins the sun in your house of communication on August 4: you’ll feel clear-headed and extra witty.
