Comic-Con 2009 , THE comic and pop culture convention, takes over the San Diego Convention Center this weekend. This year, the event promises more caped crusaders, industry panels, and nerd-worthy merchandise than you can shake a lightsaber at. If you’re lucky enough to attend the 4-day media frenzy, be sure to visit Funchicken at booth 1732 and check out their new silkscreen prints, limited edition copies of Unlovable (with–get this–GLOW INK), and a VERY limited (as in, 10 copies) 100-page, hardcover Funchicken book. Author Esther will also be at booth 1716 to sign copies of Unlovable Vol. 1 (Thursday 4-6, Friday 4-6, Saturday 12-2, Sunday 10-12). Also say hello to comic boys Jordan Crane , Johnny Ryan , and Steve ‘Ribs’ Weissman , who’ll be sharing the table with Funchicken and Buenaventura Press .
So dust off that cosplay outfit, brush up on your Klingon, and, if you see anyone from Twilight, go ahead and send them over my way . . .
