Here’s What Emma Watson Wants You To Know About Female Sexuality

by Danniah Daher

Emma Watson has dedicated much of her adult life advocating for women. This does not exclude female sexual pleasure.

The female orgasm is kinda like the Tooth Fairy for many women. A fantasy originating from a dream-world. The general concept of the Tooth Fairy seems magical and lovely, but verifying any technical and dependable existence proves tedious. Finding the Tooth Fairy is an exercise in frustration. And morning-after evidence can be fleeting at best.

If you’re wondering if female sexual pleasure has forgotten about you—only existing in the mystical fables of imaginary lands with the Tooth Fairy—then Emma Watson wants you to know something.

During a conversation with Gloria Steinem at the How To: Academy talk in London this week, the 25-year old actress and activist revealed that she’s a paying subscriber to OMGyes, a site committed to exploring female pleasure.

“It’s based on research which is a complete study on female sexuality.” Watson told Steinem.

OMGyes is “lifting the veil on women’s sexual pleasure.” The site is dedicated to sex tutorials featuring “touchable” video lessons based on studies of over 2,000 women, ages ranging between 18 and 95.

Want to know how to reach your g-spot? Curious about achieving multiple orgasms? Just want to know simply ANYTHING about the female orgasm? Look no further.

OMGyes, which charges $29 for a subscription, only wants to “explore the ways to make a great thing even better.”

Watson, who is currently dating 35-year-old business manager William ‘Mack’ Knight, says simply, “It’s worth it.”

Female sexual pleasure doesn’t have to be like the Tooth Fairy. Sure, we’re complicated creatures with a unique magic of our own—but that doesn’t mean our orgasms have to be a mystery. More websites like OMGyes should exist. More conversation about the female orgasm should exist. It’s not taboo—it’s natural. It’s our body.

Let’s make female sexual pleasure an everyday, open conversation. Because as women, we have to make up for a lot of lost time when it comes to our sexual satisfication. Oh my god, yes.
