Either you’ve done it yourself or you’ve given it a highly-coveted “like,” but either way, we’ve all seen engagement photos on Facebook. Usually they’re on a beach (regardless of the season), on a windy day, and there are about 200 pictures of the same two people who can’t stop making googly eyes at each other. Overall, the entire ordeal makes me want to barf a little at its cuteness.
Thus proposes the question: Why do we only get cute photo shoots to celebrate an engagement? Facebook user Benita Abraham, a 37-year-old woman from Long Beach, California, who recently accepted a big job offer, took action to broaden the cause for cheesy beach photos with her photo album #Employed, a semi-romantic endeavor that involved her, her framed job offer, a few friends, and an iPhone.
“So excited to share my happy news with my FB family,” Abraham says in her album description. “I finally found my soulmate, my perfect match, my boo. After 7 long months, I found the perfect job with a company that truly cares about its employees and one I will learn so much from.”
As for her first day, which was Monday, she told ABC News: “It was amazing! I learned so much, and it was just a half day.”
We’re happy for you, Abraham. Check out the photos below:
