Tyler Oakley is a blogger, vlogger, and self-proclaimed “professional fangirl.” He loves Taco Bell, One Direction, Lady Gaga, and twerking (just to name a few.) His Tumblr is one of the only ones I follow because it is PURE GOLD. It mostly consists of hilarious gifs, videos, and photos, but also a ton of actually cool things like this inspiring video and this moving story. His Vlog is filled with LOL-able videos that he makes every so often. Tyler Oakley is also involved with nonprofit organizations like It Gets Better and The Trevor Project, charities that fundraise to prevent suicide amongst bullied lesbian, gay, questioning, bisexual, and transgender youth.
This year Tyler decided that he wanted to do something a little different for his birthday on March 22nd. All this month, he’s begun a personal fundraising page for the Trevor Project with a goal of $24,000 for his 24th birthday. He’s almost reached his goal (almost to $22,000 as of today!) but there’s still some work to be done with the deadline just a few days away.
