Help These Gals #PlayLikeaGirl

Girls aren’t playing as much as they used to with the takeover of smartphones and technology. That’s why the nonprofit organization Play Like A Girl is stepping in. Play Like A Girl recognizes that playing is an important part of girlhood. Shooting hoops, taking a ballet class, or playing hopscotch allows girls to stay happy and healthy. Since 2004, Play Like A Girl has helped inspire girls in the U.S. and Canada play more by involving them in games and sports. Now, Play Like A Girl has launched an Indiegogo to fund their Pop-Up Play Day Tour, which will stop in cities across the South—where obesity is a huge issue—offering opportunities for dance, sports, hiking, biking, games, and fitness.

The tour will make 10 stops in the U.S. starting on Memorial Day 2016. If you were an all-star softball player growing up or loved riding your bike, donate to the campaign to bring back play for girls, plus get Play Like A Girl perks for your donation on Indiegogo. Use #PlayLikeAGirl to show your support for this awesome organization and for a new generation of badass young female athletes.
