Fighting It, a feature documentary that chronicles filmmaker Jill Morley as she her trains to compete in the New York Golden Gloves, is in its final production stages. The film follows Morley’s struggles both inside and out of the ring and explores how boxing ties into larger issues in her life. Morley features the struggles of other female boxers as well in order to show the many reasons women are drawn to the sport and how it is more than just a sport to many. Though the director is applying for grants and other types of funding to help see the project through to completion, the project is still in need of funding to make it through to the next cut.
