Today is October 3rd, which means that the Mean Girls references will be pouring in on all social media fronts. In fact, they should just make October 3rd “Mean Girls Day”, whoever the “They” are who make holidays……

Realtalk: Mean Girls completely validated my lifestyle as a teenager. I was a Janis Ian and so badly bullied that I practically faked sick everyday of 7th grade. I had striped knee high socks, a studded kilt, black hair and matching raccoon eyes. I lived in a permanent state of covetousness when I saw those girls walking by. Unlike the Mean Girls, the popular chicks at my school weren’t that mean or vapid, but I lived in a perpetual state of image disphoria like a lot of other teenage girls.
Mean Girls, popularized because of it’s amazing script and TINA FEY, was one of those rare films that emphasized that model good looks aren’t everything and that all people are flawed, even the ones who seemingly have it all. Every time I watch it now, I’m reminded that this adorable creature
Is just as awesome as this one, and I feel better!
