Get in the D.I.Y. Halloween Spirit With ‘Witch Craft’

by Katie Zanin

Halloween is 26 days away (yes we’re counting) and if you’re looking for some tricky little treats to tide you over until the annual night of mischief, we’ve found the craft book for you! Compiled by Margaret McGuire and Alicia Kachmar, Witch Craft contains, as it’s cover proclaims, “Wicked Accessories, Creepy-Cute Toys, Magical Treats, and More!”

This wickedly cute book may only have about 30 different crafts but each one is equally adorable. (and easy!) Transform everyday items like glass jars and old shoes into crystal balls or ruby slippers or use yarn and stuffing to make witch-y little plush toys. There are various projects involving sewing and beading for crafty readers as well as a bunch of tasty recipes like “Tangerine Jack-O-Lanterns” and “Peanut Butter & Jelly Skull Sandwich” for the spooky chef in all of us.

Each of the magical projects is carefully explained with full-color photographs and simple step-by-step instructions. So get into the Halloween spirit with Witch Craft. There’s even enough time to get in a spellbinding craft a day from now until the big night!
