FredFlare.com is Going Out of Business After 15 Years of Awesome

by Katie Fustich

How do I love Fred Flare?…Let me count the ways! Where else could you score roller skates, a turntable, and a giant gummy bear on a stick…all at the same time? Fred Flare is the ultimate kooky-kitschy experience, perfectly curated for the total weirdo in all of us. Now, after fifteen years, the dream is over. Fred Flare creators, Chris and Keith, are reportedly “packing up the three cats” and “moving to the country” and we couldn’t be any more bummed!

There’s still a bit of good news to be heard, though: on Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd, the Fred Flare warehouse is hosting a giant blowout sale (complete with baked goods!). “Apparel, accessories & gift items all at crazy discounts!” they profess. “Plus, score furnishings, props, collectibles, FF mementos & more.”

Everybody get your butt down to the Fred Flare warehouse (300 Kingsland Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!) for cool stuff and cool people (obviously, since I will be there).

Visit the Fred Flare website for more info, plus oodles of online deals for all y’all who can’t be there next weekend.

We’ll love and miss you, Freddy!
