Françoise Hardy’s Reissues Will Leave You Feelin’ Groovy: BUST Review

FRANÇOISE HARDY
Reissues
(Light In The Attic)

In the ’60s, Françoise Hardy was one of the leading ladies of French pop, and a muse for the likes of Jagger and Dylan. The chanteuse celebrated her 71st birthday this year, and will find new fans through the reissue of five of her albums throughout October and November. “Le Temps De L’ Amour” is full of hypnotizing jazz bass and Hardy’s echoing, seductive voice. Look out for those sultry, brooding vocals in “Comme Tant D’ Autres” from Le Premier Bonheur Du Jour, which are well matched with violins and Doors-style keyboards. If you do one right thing this year, own everything created by this enchanting singer.
