She overcame injury and struck gold! On Wednesday in the women’s downhill event, Lindsey Vonn of the USA beat her competition by .56 seconds to become the top of the tops. Vonn was unsure of competing due to shin bruises. The silver and bronze winners were Julia Mancuso (USA) and Elisabeth Görgl (Austria) respectively. You go, girls!
