Some excellent Secondhand News for your Thursday doldrums (teehee): Christine McVie is re-joining Fleetwood Mac. Then, Fleetwood Mac is going back into the studio– the same studio, in fact, where they recorded Tusk in 1979. Then, they’re going on an American tour. U.S. dates begin this September. This is not a drill, ladies.
Keyboardist/singer McVie (who we can thank for various top ten hits, like Don’t Stop) is the last to re-join history’s most gossipy band. She follows Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, and her ex-husband John McVie, who’s reportedly on the mend following his recent cancer diagnosis.
Because time makes you bolder and YOU’RE GETTING OLDER, make a point to catch the Mac at some point on their thirty-plus city tour. Tickets will be soon be available on the band’s website. Also keep in mind that this year marks the 35th anniversary of Fleetwood’s Rumours. As Rumours is indisputably one of the best studio albums ever…well, you see where I’m going with this. This fan will have one eye on a browser window from now until the Madison Square announcement, that’s for sure.
And because #tbt and joy and weeping-at-your-desk:
