FKA Twigs’s third album takes somewhat of a departure from her usual trip-hop, hip-op, and Afro beats. This time around there’s more of a house music atmosphere to get out on the dance floor and groove to. The track,“Perfect Stranger,” and “Childlike Things” showcase Twigs’s duality of being both playful and powerful while keeping a solid groove flowing. Her voice vacillates between a soft, ethereal sound, reminiscent of both Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser and Japanese singer Kahimi Karie, and a newfound, powerful, self-assured vocal range. Eusexua is a musical collection that longtime fans and newcomers alike will definitely love.
