Finally! This Anti-Sexting App Will Keep Those Unwanted Nudes At Bay

by Katie Fustich

At one point or another, we’ve all been on the receiving end of a “How about a pic?” text that left us rolling our eyes Liz Lemon style. Fortunately, a handy dandy new app will help you respond to said messages with all the finesse of a 13-year-old meme-loving boy.

Childline, the British charity behind this glorious creation, ensures “Zipit [will help] you get flirty chat back on the right track. It’s packed with killer comebacks and top tips to help you stay in control of your chat game.”

Exhibit A:

Am I the only one getting the sense that this app was created by a 50-year-old man who spent fifteen minutes on Reddit one time?

Though, the stats behind the app are actually pretty shocking: 60% of folks between the ages of 12 to 15 have participated in some form of NSFW text communication. While this indicates we should start having discussions about healthy sexual dialogue with the youths, I don’t really think the retort “Naked selfie just ain’t elfie” fits the bill.

Sad to say, I doubt Childline’s effort will bear much fruit. My guess is that people like me will download the app for the purpose of sending trolling my friends at 3AM.
