Female Comedians Tell HBO, “We Wanna See More Dong”

by Melanie Mignucci

This HYSTERICAL CollegeHumor video addresses that “dumb double standard” in the TV industry that’s got so many ladies’ feathers ruffled. No, not the pay grade one … or the leading actress/actor ratio one… or the one where “30 Rock” isn’t on the air anymore. (Not quite a double standard but an issue I, as a woman, have.)

These female comedians have “a boner to pick” with HBO … for not giving us the D.

It’s true! For every time we see Hannah Horvath’s tits, or Daenerys Targaryen’s tits, or Sookie Stackhouse’s… yeah, still tits, we see exactly zero wieners.

Hell, the network that brought us “Hung,” a show about a man with an enormous penis, did not even have the courtesy to SHOW said enormous penis. I can guarantee that a show about a woman with a giant rack would never pan above the chest. (In this show, the rack would be a character unto itself, issuing Lizzie McGuire-style commentary to its host. [Actually, I might watch that. HBO, you know where to find me.])

“We’re not saying ‘no more boobs,’” these comedians deadpan to the camera, “we’re just saying you should show… dongs.”

This video is all kinds of brilliant for bringing attention to that stupid double standard that women don’t care about dicks the same way men expect to be shown boobs every time they turn on the TV.

“Maybe you’re worried an erect penis would be too explicit,” says one actress. But, “… Um, have you seen the red wedding?”

Not to mention literally every sex scene and every commentary thereon in Girls.

So these women have a devised plan. “Every minute we have to sit through this dumb double standard, you owe us an inch of grade A man-meat… Or we’ll stop stealing the password to our parents’ HBO GO accounts.”

Anyway, don’t take my word for it, watch the video below and support a woman’s right to the TV trouser snake.
